August RemARKables Blog Tour — Bundle of Joy

Welcome to the RemARKable’s August Blog Tour! You’ve probably hopped here from Anne, but if you get lost, all of the links are the bottom!

From now on, we will be focusing on bundles offered in the catalog. This month, we are featuring bundles in the Annual Catalog. Have you noticed how many there are?!?!?! As if the fact that coordinating products wasn’t awesome enough, NOW you can get a discount on buying them together! Like icing on the cake 🙂 mmmm… cake… sorry– I’m “clean eating” these days, so no cake for me!

I only have one small card to share with you today, in small part because the blog tour snuck up on me, but in large part because I wanted to tell you how quick and simple this card was, with minimal supplies!

I needed a baby card to go with a shower gift, so I almost went with the Something for Baby stamp set and framelits bundle, but I decided to go cleaner than that (I guess to go along with my clean eating HAHA).

My bundle is the Banner Banter bundle! Framelits are all fine and dandy, but I just LOVE LOVE LOVE coordinating punches!

I’m telling you– super super simple! I started with the Notecards and Envelopes (yet another “bundle”) as my base. It measures 3 1/2″ x 5″. I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut out a piece of the Pool Party paper from the Cherry on Top DSP stack (3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″). Then I cut another whisper white piece (2 7/8″ x 4 3/8″; I wanted a little more of the DSP to show, so I cut it smaller than traditional layers would be). The banner colors (in order L to R) are Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky (Bermuda Bay words), and Bermuda Bay. I just tied a bow and tacked it on with a glue dot! DONE! Seriously, from design concept to finish was less than 15 minutes.

P.S. If you love bundles, you will LOVE the Holiday Catalog 😉

Hop on over to see what bundle Audra has to showcase!

More new stuff

Are you just loving the new catalog or what?! I am sure we all say this every year, but I swear this is the best yet. And just when you think it can’t get any better, Stampin’ Up! just out-does themselves every time!!

I thought I would share a few more projects I made using some new products in both some traditional ways and some untraditional ways (I love thinking outside the box 🙂 ).

First up is a little project I made using the new Layered Letters set, the new In Color Watermelon Wonder, and the returning Something for Baby bundle. A friend of mine had a baby about the time I was coming up with ideas, and this is her bebe’s name! Perfect to add a little newborn picture in (this is an 8″x8″ frame)

Next up is one of my favorite new sets– Watercolor Wings! Who isn’t in love?! I wanted to be monochromatic, so I just stuck with Bermuda Bay (can you tell I have a Bermuda Bay problem?!) and Basic Black. I also used the brand new Banner Triple punch! So. Freakin’. Cool!

The next card I made 10 of for a card swap! Let me tell you… more pieces than for 10 cards got made LOL Either the punched hole didn’t line up or I got a shadow on the donut stamp or the sprinkles blurred out… but I eventually got 10 perfect ones made 🙂 I think it’s very cute! It uses the new Sprinkles on Top set with Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush as new items (with returning favorites Crushed Curry and what else? Bermuda Bay 🙂 ) Oh! and the new Thick Baker’s Twine!!

The last card I have for you today will be going to my DBF at some point. He LOOOOOVES popcorn, especially the Wegman’s store brand microwave popcorn that he can’t get now that he lives in Utah (nannanannabooboo!). So I send him care packages with some every now and again. One will fit perfectly inside this card, and I will punch slits and tie the front and back together so that the card becomes a sleeve 🙂 Do you recognize the “popcorn”?? It’s from the Tree Builder punch! And the popcorn box? It’s from the Fry Box Die! (and it’s only fitting since he gave me the Fry Box Die and coordinating stamp set for my birthday 🙂 )

I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at what I’ve made for you today! Happy stamping!
