July RemARKables Blog Tour– The IN (color) Crowd

rocktease

It’s the second Thursday of the month, and you know what that means! RemARKables Blog Tour!!! You probably hopped here from Anne, but just in case you get lost, everyone’s link is at the bottom 🙂

We’re starting a new theme of sorts, focusing on bundles. This month, we’re featuring the 2015-2017 In Color Ink Pads and Cardstock bundle! So, you get to see projects made with these gorgeous colors from a fantastic line-up of artists!

I’m sure by now you’ve seen these colors and perhaps fallen in love with them! Maybe you haven’t gotten your hands on them yet, but one of the unsung heroes is this bundle that is a great deal! 5 ink pads and an assorted pack of 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock for the price of just the ink pads! It’s like getting that pack of cardstock for FREE!! 🙂

I have a confession to make: I did not make these cards especially for this blog tour 😦 I haven’t shared them with you before, so they’re new to you, at least! HAHA I had a migraine from Friday to Tuesday (yes, over the long July Fourth holiday weekend 😦 ), culminating in a visit to the doctor to get some relief as well as a new-to-me prophylaxis daily medication that’s got me sleepy and loopy by turns! So please forgive me, and pray I normalize on the new meds sooner rather than later! 🙂 I’m having a hard enough time putting these thoughts together, so I apologize also if this post is a bit disjointed and incoherent!

First up is a set of 3×3 cards featuring Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder, my two favorites!! I used the Crazy About You stamp set (carry-over from the Occasions catty) and coordinating punches to make these cards, easy peasy! I used the new Envelope paper to make liners for my envelopes. I love that with the photopolymer stamps, I can put both words on my clear block and just have to ink and stamp once!! 🙂

Next up is a Christmas card that’s a little non-traditional (Watermelon Wonder isn’t a true red, so making it a pink and green Christmas!) I was happy to see Festival of Trees carry over from the last holiday catalog (happy to see Christmas back in the catalog, period! 🙂 )  Trusty Sassy Salutations for my sentiment!

The last one I have for you today is one that features all of the in colors. This was one of those projects where I had one piece stuck in my head, then tried various other things to finish it. I had the idea to put the background together like that (it’s once again the Envelope paper– so perfect for making lightweight layers, and is at a great price point, too! cheaper than a pack of DSP), so I adhered it all together, and then was like, “now what?!” I tried many things, some simple, some complex, until I decided to use the Bitty Butterfly punch and call it a day! Once again, I used the Crazy About You set for the sentiment for this one.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope it all made sense! Hope on over to see what Audra‘s come up with! 🙂

  1. I too suffer from migraines. Not fun at all! I love all the cards you shared with us. I love the Christmas card as I’m looking for something really easy to do. I have other problems that prevent me from crafting as much as I like, but will not give up!
